ABSTRACT One billion people in 100 countries are immediately vulnerable to the effects of the climate change, but in the not-so-long term that number will include us all. It does not recognize human boundaries. It will affect us wherever we are, north, south, east, west and we all have to adapt. Though the developing countries have contributed least to the causes of climate change, they stand to suffer more due to their vulnerability to extreme environmental events. Climate change is the long-term shifts in climate. A region’s climate results from the interaction of elements including temperature, precipitation, winds and other factors. Within the threatening uncertainty facing humanity due to climate change lies tremendous opportunities for innovation, entrepreneurship and investment. If we can face this global challenge, the government’s action to create new ‘green jobs’ is not only sustainable but may help in economic recovery. This paper considered climate change in terms of its concept, its impacts on humanity, its mitigation by being entrepreneurially innovative in the area of the production of needs meeting commodities and service rendering. This is expected to culminate in the generation of green employment thereby breaking the vicious cycle of poverty.

ABSTRACT There is no better way to fight poverty than through wealth creation but this can only be achieved through entrepreneurship. It is the process by which new organizations come into existence. It is a human, creative act that builds something of value from practically nothing. It began when Marco Polo, an upcoming entrepreneur made the greatest attempt of establishing the trade route. Wealth creation simply means the ability to be able to afford all goods and services with monetary or productive values. Entrepreneurs can only be successful as wealth creators when they think of success always, passionate about what they do, focus on their strength and never consider the possibility of failure in their chosen enterprise. We can only build a prosperous nation through the power of entrepreneurship which leads to constant creation of new ventures. Economies perish without entrepreneurship. Human capacity development is essential in enabling people to enlarge their choices and expand their freedoms. What people can positively achieve is influenced by and interconnected with economic opportunities, political liberties, social powers and the enabling conditions of good health, basic education and the encouragement and the cultivation of initiatives.
