                                                               ABSTRACT.
Nigeria’s economy is sick. It urgently needs an entrepreneurial therapeutic healing. This can only be achieved through entrepreneurship education. Most of what you hear about entrepreneurship is all wrong. It’s not magic; it’s not mysterious; and it has nothing to do with genes. It’s a discipline and, like any discipline, it can be learned.Preparing today’s students for success and eventual leadership in the new global marketplace is the most important responsibility in education today… Entrepreneurship education is an important tool to achieving these objectives [and]…should be universally available to provide all students with opportunities to explore and fulfill their potential.
Entrepreneurship education is critical for developing entrepreneurial skills, attitudes and behaviours that are the basis for economic growth. It can be a societal change agent, a great enabler in all sectors.of the nation’s economy.
The Global objectives of entrepreneurship education include among others:
1) To highlight and raise awareness of the importance of entrepreneurship education in   spurring economic growth and achieving the Millennium Development Goals

2)  To consolidate existing knowledge and good practices in entrepreneurship education around the world to enable the development of innovative new tools, approaches and delivery methods

.  Entrepreneurship education provides a mix of experiential learning, skill building and, most importantly, mindset shift. Certainly, the earlier and more widespread the exposure to entrepreneurship and innovation, the more likely students will become entrepreneurial, in one form or another, at some stage in their lives..
Evidently, Nigeria is lagging behind in preparing her workforce for the challenges of the rapidly changing global economy. It is concluded that improved and sustainable global economy development depends on a strong entrepreneurship education.
This paper examines entrepreneurship education as a tool that could be employed and deployed in proffering solution(s) the country’s economic, social and political problems.

                                            ABSTRACT
Intrapreneurship refers to employee initiatives in organizations to undertake something new, without being asked to do so. It is a process by which individuals-either on their own or inside organizations-pursue opportunities without regard to the resources they currently control .Major activities related to intrapreneurship include opportunity perception, idea generation, designing a new product or another recombination of resources, internal coalition building, persuading the management, resource acquisition, planning and organizing. Key behavioural aspects of intrapreneurship are personal initiative, active information search, out of the box thinking, voicing, championing, taking charge, finding a way, and some degree of risk taking.   It discusses the similarities and differences between intrapreneurship and independent entrepreneurship.   Organisations employing intrapreneurial strategies have a competitive edge, which also boosts economic development.   Clear reward systems and strategies must be in place to ensure that the intrapreneur is adequately compensated for their innovation

                                                           ABSTRACT
Energy is the oxygen that the Nigeria’s economy needs for greatness. The energy sector plays a major role in economic transformation of a country, a driven force behind a sustainable economy. The projected growth of an economy depends heavily on the performance and growth of the power sector.

Various policies that promote a secure, competitive, and reasonably priced energy supply will help attract, retain, and expand the growth of an economy.  Access to clean modern energy services is an enormous challenge facing the African continent because energy is fundamental for socioeconomic development and poverty eradication. Today, 60% to 70% of the Nigerian population does not have access to electricity. There is no doubt that the present power crisis afflicting Nigeria will persist unless the government diversifies the energy sources in domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors and adopts new available technologies to reduce energy wastages and to save cost. Nigeria. Energy efficiency leads to important social benefits, such as reducing the energy bills for poor households.

In other to sustain this economic development, additional energy resources, including electricity generation and infrastructure improvements, must be effectively utilized. Energy is one sector with great impact in the economy; the energy sector can influence the economic development mainly in two ways, Capacity for large investments and price of energy, the investments in the energy sector can stimulate national enterprises and the industrial capacity, while the price of energy is pervasive to all sectors and influences the competitiveness of the country.

Energy is an essential ingredient for economic development. As both agricultural and industrial activities increase, the demand for energy similarly increases. In the developing world provision of a greater access to energy has been suggested by some that will help grow their economies and improve the lives of the poor. The energy supply mix must thus be diversified through installing an appropriate infrastructure and creating full awareness to promote and develop the abundant renewable energy resources present in the country as well as to enhance the security of supply .The Petroleum Industry Bill(PIB) when it becomes a law will also bring about to a great extent the desired revolution needed in the Nigeria.s energy sector which will engender a prosperous nation.

Abstract.

This paper examines social entrepreneurship as a powerful mantra for economic empowerment with emphasis on the youths of Nigeria. Social entrepreneurship signals the imperative to drive social change, and it is that potential payoff, with its lasting, transformational benefit to society, that sets the field and its practitioners apart.  Social entrepreneurs are setting trends and sparking movements that are spreading across the world. These could have far-reaching effects in different locations and future scenarios. What is most important about social entrepreneurs, wherever they operate, is that they challenge   existing rules and institutions and create innovative vehicles to achieve their social goals. These may end up directly provoking markets through competition or providing alternatives, or they may indirectly put pressure on industries by creating awareness and stimulating behavioral and attitude change. The paper discuses, social entrepreneurship schools of practice    the ecosystem of social entrepreneurship , principles of social entrepreneurship, models of social entrepreneurship and the  assumptions of social entrepreneurship among others. Youth social entrepreneurship should grow out of young people’s own interests, motivations and ideas. It entails young people being actively involved by initiating their own activities rather than just being told what to do. Yet it also requires resources and supportive and experienced adults who can mentor/guide young people without being controlling. The key now is to focus on how social enterprise can sustain growth and generate more impact. The role of public policy is to stimulate and orchestrate this process of collective innovation. Politicians, policy-makers and civic leaders can make a unique contribution by changing the way society frames its challenges and mobilizes public, private and voluntary resources to meet them.  Demand for social enterprise solutions will not lessen because  they attack fundamental issues of how to create public goods and solutions to social problems in an open market economy.  Keywords: Social entrepreneurship; Youth empowerment; Volunteerism and Economic Development.

                                               ABSTRACT
This paper examines youth entrepreneurship as a tool that could be employed and also deployed for economic empowerment in order to arrest the growing rate of insecurity occasioned by poverty and unemployment.
A thriving economy would require a greater number of young people who are willing and able to become entrepreneurs; who can launch and successfully develop their own commercial or social ventures, and who will become innovators in the wider organizations in which they work.
Entrepreneurship can unleash the economic potential of young people and be a source of new jobs and growth, while improving their economic independence. Young people can no longer expect to find ‘job-for-life’ careers but rather ‘portfolio careers’ (contract employment, freelancing, periods of self-employment, etc.). Entrepreneurial experience and/or education help youth develop new skills that can be applied to other challenges in life.
Utilizing the leisure time of the youth and harnessing their exuberance and raw energy for creative activities is essential. Simultaneously, but more substantially there is need to provide opportunities for vocational skill development of the youth and inculcate self-entrepreneurship in them so as to motivate them towards self-reliance. This becomes all the more important in the context of shrinking job opportunities in the existing infrastructure and the need for promoting entrepreneurship which serves the triple objective of self sustainability, creating new jobs and thereby supporting economic growth.

ABSTRACT
This paper reviews entrepreneurship. It does not exist without the ct of selling being factored into relevance.
The nation's economy can only be revamped by producing and selling more of our products both locally and
abroad to earn the foreign exchange needed to grow the economy. In the paper, relationship between
selling and entrepreneurship, stages involved in selling and secrets of selling were highlighted. It was
concluded that…for the economy of the country to quantum leap, selling must be the cornerstone of all
entrepreneurial activities. Entreprenuership does not exist without the act of selling being factored into
relevance. The nation's economy can only be revamped by producing and selling more of our products both
locally and abroad to earn the foreign exchange needed to grow the economy.
Selling involves communicating the benefits of a product or service to the prospective consumers with the
intent of taking a purchase decision. It involves prospecting, pre-approach, approach, close and follow-up.
The salespeople must be conscious of what the customer likes or dislikes in them to be able to sell and
consequently make profit for the organization. They must also know the secrets of increasing sales.
Buying and selling sustain entrepreneurial effort. The entrepreneurs are the catalyst of change needed to
take Nigeria's economy to the next level of prosperity in the realization of the objectives of vision 2020.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT A POWERFUL TOOL FOR YOUTH EMPOWERMENT:
A REVIEW.

ABSTRACT
An entrepreneur wakes up and says: Good morning, Lord, I thank you for your abundant blessings. A man
with a mindset of poverty, wakes and laments, he says: O Lord, it is another morning, can I continue this
way? Why the lamentation when there is the entrepreneurship option?
Entrepreneurship is the process through which new organizations come into existence. It is a human
creative action that breeds something of value from practically nothing.
An entrepreneur searchers for and discovers new information, translates it into new markets, techniques and
goods. He discovers economic opportunity and marshal the financial resources needed for the enterprise.
The challenges that face entrepreneurs in Nigeria include harsh or unfriendly economy, dynamics of the
industry, lack of start-up capital-, staff recruitment and unfriendly government policies among others. The
vitally needed ingredients for success in business include starting on a small scale, maintaining a good cash
flow, relying mostly on oneself and strategically positioning your business and yourself.
The small scale business that could invite the attention of our youths includes agriculture, finance scale
manufacturing, trade and service rendering. Establishing a new business and nurturing it to growth and
maturity is not easy in our environment but it is vulnerable. Embrace change, embrace entrepreneurship.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP AS A POVERTY ESCAPIST STRATEGY

ABSTRACT
Poverty is a disease of a terminal colouration and dimension. It’s eradication from the world is a good
goal to have but cutting cheques and providing special favours to the poorest people of the society does
not work in eradicating it. Anything that is rewarded grows. If you reward poverty, it grows and
consequently cannot be withered away. In today’s world, the formulation of an economic policy aimed
at job creation, sustainable income generation and poverty alleviation which does not recognize and
incorporate entrepreneurship is most likely to fail. Indeed, such an economic policy may, in itself be an
instrument for retarding economic progress and prosperity. Entrepreneurial activity is always about
value creation. Most economists today agree that entrepreneurship is a necessary ingredient for
stimulating economic growth and employment opportunities in all sectors of the economy. Poverty
reduction through massive and aggressive job creation is what Nigerians need to live in abundance and
also in prosperity. This cannot be achieved without entrepreneurship. Any country that relegates it to
the background, does it at its own peril and continues to live with the pains and pangs of poverty till
eternity without an escape route. The escapist strategy towards breaking the vicious cycle of poverty is
entrepreneurship. Embrace it.

ABSTRACT
Some entrepreneurs plan their businesses to fail while others fail to plan their businesses for survival
and profitability. Truly, businesses can never thrive and grow profitably without a well planned and
thought-out business plan coupled with basic accounting principles. A business plan can be defined as a
proposal for the creation of productive capacities for the manufacturing of goods or service rendering.
What interests the financial institutions and others in business plan include the managerial and
entrepreneurial capacity of the entrepreneur, social-economic benefit of the project, present and future
demand of the products, the technical feasibility and financial viability of the project. Every
businessman must prepare financial reports which include statement of accounting policies, balance
sheet, profit and loss account and the cash flow statement among others. Financial statements are
usually prepared in accordance with the company and Allied Matters Act of 1990 (as Amended),
International Accounting Standard (IAS), Statement of Accounting Standard (SAS) and requirements of
the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
